GABON 2016: Ali Bongo Ondimba reelected

The Gurdian has it that one of Africa’s longest political dynasties looks set to extend its half-century of rule, after sources inside Gabon’s electoral commission told Reuters the incumbent president, Ali Bongo, had won another term with 49.85% of the vote. The commission was expected to announce that the opposition candidate, Jean Ping, a half-Chinese diplomat who was previously in the Bongo family’s trusted circle, narrowly lost with 48.16%, after a fraught election that observers warned was likely to result in violence.Ping’s party, which claimed victory soon after the vote, rejected the claimed result and demanded a recount in Haut-Ogooué, a Bongo stronghold which, according to the sources, the commission was to claim had a 99.93% turnout. The national election commission (Cenap) was due to announce the result on Tuesday at 5pm local time but delayed repeatedly. It still had not declared the winner 19 hours later. Many Gabonese suggested that five days to count 600,000 votes was excessive. Residents of Libreville ventured out in the early morning to buy groceries but later stayed at home amid fears of violent protests. The army has been deployed to the capital’s streets, and opposition members reported that their houses were surrounded by police.

The Devil Has Invaded The House Of God

I have been looking at people going to church and every time I do this, something tells me that the world is seriously infected with a satanic virus. I don't want to pass any judgement on this issue because I am not better and also because I don't want to have a dirty conversation with sister Mary and brother John. Many critics say the church is the hiding place for criminals. Yeah,it's true. All those who make me feel like going to an area of no return are "people of the big churches."
In my village(Tabenken), just like elsewhere, people go to church and kill their opponents in highly contested church posts.Little girls read the '1st,2nd Readings.. ' and still commit abortions. It's been practically proven that many church leaders are witches and wizards who occupy the front seats of the church and disturb the clergy. Why are we going to church when we can't forgive our fellow brothers and sisters? Why do we call ourselves Christians when we can't stay away from evil charms? Are Christians supposed to to help orphans or make them feel depressed? People of the big churches also discriminate, drink dirty wine in dirty night clubs, dine with b**ches in wild beaches, make human sacrifices to be "great people",jealous everything that is good and invite the devil into the homes of their prosperous brothers and sisters etc. Brother, where's your Bible? Sister, where's your faith? Uncle, why are you killing people to become a church elder? Aunty, you bought charm from baba Ngala to make that innocent man be your slave husband and forgetabout his family. Why are you going tochurch? What do you know about confession? My problem is not the church. My problem is with the people of the big churches who don't want the happiness of their fellow brothers and sisters. These are the realities of life, you cannot serve God and the devil. Serve God, help the poor, pray for the sick, pray for happiness, pray for peace, pray for justice pray for Cameroon, pray for the world.
NB:I'm not an atheist. I love God with all my heart. I rather find faults in many people who claim to be Christians. Non is perfect but we should not embrace evil or glorify no matter the place and time.

Thierry Henry joins Belgium coaching staff as assistant to Roberto Martínez

Henry will be part of the backroom staff alongside Graeme Jones, who was Martínez’s assistant at Swansea, Wigan and Everton. The announcement was made as Martinez named his first squad since taking the Belgium job after Euro 2016.
“Thierry brings something completely different. He’s someone who has been in the situation of having to develop a mentality in a team of chasing the dream of winning something special for his country,” Martínez said. “He is very much an important figure in our staff and we hope he will pass on his experience to the players.“I’m very pleased with the effort of the federation to put in a support staff as impressive as it is. But always remember that the star is the talent ofthe players.“The attacking quality we have in our group is very rich. Thierry Henry’s experience of being able to go throughthat situation that we have as a team is going to be very important. Then when you go into the basics of simple attacking drills, as a player you can get a lot from him. That’s going to be a big role from Thierry’s point of view.””The fitness coach Richard Evans, who like Jones followed Martínez from Swansea to Everton via Wigan, will take up a similar role with Belgium.

On My Way To The Mortuary!

I had a shocking dream this Monday morning between 5am and 5:25am.
As the war against terrorism in Cameroon continues, I had a dream that I wish it never come true in my entire life. I went to hell and came back to this world to put this dream on paper and narrate what I went through.
The Dream...
After hearing heavy gunshots on a certain school campus( that I could not identify in the dream), I had to pick a gun too. It was a terrorist attack. I gunned down one old man who seemed to have been the leader of the terrorist group that had invaded the campus. After shooting the man, he fell to a certain valley and died. Out of fear, I hid in a rock so as to free from the terrorists. Because of constant threats from this terrorist group, I wanted to escape but rather fell to the same valley as the old man. That was dead and the next thing I saw was mortuary and later hell. I recognised the faces of many people both in the mortuary and in hell. The mortuary was not that bad. There was life!
While in the mortuary, I noticed many strange things and decided to share it with you.
- In the mortuary, corpses eat food(mostly guava and gateaux).
- The mortuary attendant fries gateaux and serves for the corpses for free.
-The mortuary attendant talks to us(corpses) on very constant basis.
-Corpses have access to electricity and their phones(if any) but there is no network reception from any mobile telephone operator.
-The corpses are very friendly to each other.
While in hell...
From the mortuary, I went to hell. While in hell, I discovered many strange things.
-People wear the same clothes that they left the world with( let's burry our brothers and sisters with enough dresses)
-People sing Christian songs in hell(especially ladies)
-There are separate sleeping chambers for men and women.
-There are very few children in hell
-There are many women in hell
-There is no such HOT fire in hell
- To my greatest surprise, the supposed terrorist leader I earlier shot was not in hell.
It's nothing but a dream
But it may mean a lot in ways that not everyone can comprehend.

The Renovation Of The Nkambe Central Mosque Is Inevitable

Faisop Walter Kimbi yesterday announced via his Facebook page that
"Ets THE FAISOPS just begun a new job with the nkambe central mosque"
The renovation of the Nkambe Central Mosque which before now did not have a beautiful outlook to represent the the wealthy Muslim community in Nkambe has a potential new structure. The Fon  of Nkambe in his usual manner started raising funds for the project months ago. He has been supported by elites, politicians, churches etc to make this project a reality.
Note should be taken that prayer houses in Nkambe have been greatly supported by the elites within and without Nkambe central subdivision to realise many construction projects. It was the case with the construction of a new church around the Nkambe Central Prison by the Nkambe Parish. In a number of fund raising programs organised by the church, elites such as Hon. Awudu Mbaya, Ta Nformi Ngala Gerard, Mr Shey Jones Yembe etc supported the Nkambe parish with huge sums of money. The Fon  of Nkambe who is a Muslim equally supported the church in grand style. May be it's pay back time...
Let's support our Muslim brothers and sisters in the construction of the Nkambe Central Mosque.

It Takes The Faculty Of Letters And Social Sciences Of The University of Dschang At Least Two Weeks To Issue Out Attestations

Concurs into higher institutions of the country have been launched but I have one preoccupation regarding the nature in which attestations are being issued by the the Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences(FLSS) of the University of Dschang, Cameroon. The Rector of the University Prof. Tsafack Roger in a ceremony at the Amphi 1000 of the University on 4th August 2016 to conclude activities of the 2015-2016 academic year insisted that meritorious students of his institution should be given their attestations from the day their results are published without any delay.
Contrary to the Rector's decision, the FLSS of the University of Dschang has gone a long way to frustrate students of it's faculty.
I left Nkambe for Dschang on 17 August 2016 to collect my attestation but to my greatest surprise, what was supposed to be available from 1 July 2016 that I had my results was not yet ready. I had to visit five offices for respective signatures on my "quitus" before depositing it at the Dean's office. The picture in this post suggests that I visited a certain office on 16/08/2016. It is false!!! I was in Nkambe on this day. The woman intentionally wrote 16/08/2016 to cover up the day she was absent from work.
Another sad case was at the office of the woman in charge of the Library of the Faculty ( Bibliothèque FLSH). She was not in her office at a time she knew that students needed her most. We were later told that it's been a week since she last came to her office.
I had intended to collect my attestation and register for ENS Bambili before August 19 and ENS Maroua before August 26. All to no avail, I had to abandon my files and wait for the day the woman in charge of the Faculty's library will ever came so that I give her my documents to certify before I deposit them at the Dean's office and wait for at least two weeks before my attestation will be available. What a mess!
This not the case in the other faculties of the University.

ENAM Is Not For The Poor...See the photo of the supposed "typing error"

Jean-baptiste Atemengue, member of Paul Biya's ruling party has confirmed my earlier statement that young people from certain backgrounds in Cameroon should not waste their time and resources writing ENAM.
He argues that ENAM and other prestigeous institutions in Cameroon are not for Children from poor background.According to Wednesday 17, August, 2016 Interview with Vert Rouge Jaune, Atemengue justified why privileges are granted to children of ministers and high ranking officials in Biya's government.

Is it a mere typing error???

The Governor of the North West Region of Cameroon writes to the Fon of Nso'o regarding the ongoing water crises in Kumbo

Keeping it real with Enohngwese Mbwang

It just came to my mind that I should take to my blog some of my friends and former classmates so that one day, people will use "throwback" to describe our old days in school.
Enohngwese aka Ngwese will always be remembered to have helped me validate a course in computer science. It was Microsoft Excel and he gave me an upper hand...
He along Asongalem Neville were the only two guys who came to the University of Dschang from the South West Region of Cameroon in 2013 and graduated in 2016. The rests had either repeated or ran away from the school. We often called them "the only two South Westerners..."
I wish you the best dear friend(parata)

Gareth Bale shines in Real Madrid's 2016/2017 La Liga opener

As the 2016/2017 Spanish top league opened another book of legends and records, Gareth Bale required fewer than two minutes to rocket home a header and put Real Madrid up against Real Sociedad in Los Blancos‘ La Liga season opener. Bale would also score with the last kick of the game to bookend a comfortable 3-0 away victory for the winners of the 2015-16 Champions League. Being a potential contester for the upcoming prestigious Ballon  d'Or, the Welshman continued his case for the 2016 Ballon d’Or following an impressive run at Euro 2016 over the summer, after a strong conclusion to the 2015-16 season. By the end of the 2015-16 season, Bale played as the central attacking figure for Zinedine Zidane’s revitalized Real Madrid.

The DRIMP Foundation Championship Trophy Was Received In Bondu With Fanfare

The people of Bondu-Tabenken are known for their hospitality and their enormous love for football. Many decades ago, our grandmothers used to cook shaa' to celebrate our respective victories at the Tabenken inter quarters competitions. To continue what was initiated by our ancestors, the elites of Bondu-Tabenken have never given a deaf ear to the call and demands of the Hungry Lions FC of Bondu. Today, this reporter is told that the Hungry Lions have at least eight pairs of kits and eight new balls. No other football team in Tabenken can be compared to the Hungry Lions FC in terms of the above mentioned materials. This is the handwork of the people who cherish the game of football.
After yesterday's 3-1 victory at the DRIMP Foundation Championship played against Recreation FC of Binju at the Nkambe municipal stadium, the team got what I should describe as standing ovation from the people of Bondu-Tabenken who saluted the team that has elevated beyond the valley of Tabenken. At the end of the match in Nkambe, there were telephone calls coming in from the elites of Bondu who praised the boys for their maturity. While announcing the various prizes, one of the MC announced that Ta Nformi Ngala Gerard has supported the Hungry Lions with 50,000 FCFA and 30,000 FCFA for Recreation FC of Binju (the runners up). A few minutes later, another call came in announcing that Mr Demian  Yembe Ngala (the elder brother of Ngala Gerard) has added grace to glory by supporting the Hungry Lions with 75,000 FCFA. The team took home and estimated sum of 40,000 FCFA. This is as a result of the fact that they were given 200,000 FCFA for emerging as the gold medalists at the Divisional level plus 75,000 FCFA that they received for leading their own zone of the tournament one week before the finals in Nkambe.
With joy and happiness, the Hungry Lions left Nkambe that same night for Bondu-Tabenken. I'm told that both young and old people came out and gathered at the junction to welcome the team that has made them proud. I'm equally told that many activities were boycotted in Bondu quarter from the moment they heard that the boys were bringing home a "big cup". The catechist of St Joseph Catholic Mission Bondu quarter traveled all away from Bondu to Nkambe to cheer the team. If you know the man I'm talking about, you will agree with me that the people of Bondu are undoubtedly football lovers.
NB: This reporter's preoccupation here is the team(the Hungry Lions FC) not the tournament (DRIMP Foundation Championship). My next post will give a vivid description of the nature of the tournament and other activities that accompanied the tournament.

Finals of DRIMP Football Championship: HT Hungry Lions FC 3-1 Recreation FC

It's all going well here at the Nkambe Municipal stadium for the supporters and fans of the Hungry Lions FC of Bondu. When Kongnyu Hans opened the the net for the Lions at about 18 mins into the First Half, it was evident that that the spirit of the lions was beyond control. Known for it's fare play, the the boys from Tabenken valley maintained a regular but uncontrollable dominance as "Daddy the Witches" added a second goal for the the dream team from Bondu-Tabenken. It did not take long for legendary Ndi Oliver to make it 3-0 in favour of the Indomitable Lions through a penalty kick.
At some few seconds to the end of the first half, Recreation FC touched the net to make the Half Time score Hungry Lions 3-1 Recreation FC

Pep Guardiola has finally talked about Yaya Toure and Joe Hart's situation at Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has made two very controversial decisions that caused plenty of debate. It was time for him to give his opinion.
The Catalan coach spoke to the press ahead of City's Premier League match against Stoke City, and he was asked about benching longtime starting keeper Joe Hart, as well as leaving midfielder Yaya Touré out of the squad for Pep's two official matches so far. Njobe Serge is not a Manchester City fan but he finds it hard to believe that Yaya  Toure  and Joe Hart are yet to secure a place under Pep Guardiola. Toure  is known for his talent and strength but his relationship with Pep is not fruitful looking at the way Toure  left Barcelona when the Spanish team was managed by Pep Guardiola.
At the press conference, Guardiola answered t questions about Toure  and Hart, and he was straight as usual:
“Yaya is trying very well, he loves football. I spoke with him about his situation, he’s a player with huge quality and I’m really glad that his agent said I’m a good coach, ‘thank you, Dimitri’.
“I have adulation and respect for Yaya’s quality – when he increases his intensity without the ball, he will be involved. "
“Hart hasn’t been picked so far because Caballero was 3 weeks ahead of him in preseason. Hart is talented,if he stays and fights - great.
"I want happiness for the players. I don't want players to stay if they don't want. If Hart wants to leave I won’t stop him, but he can learn and improve under me.”

Goodluck Jonathan tweets after Nigeria's 0-2 loss to Germany at the Rio 2016 Olympics

Nigeria’s former president Goodluck Jonathan had kind words for the country’s footballers as they crashed out to Germany in the semi-finals of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
The self-christened Dream Team VI were beaten 0-2 by Germany in São Paulo thanks to an early goal from defender Lukas Klostermann and a late clincher from Nils Petersen. Germany will now face Brazil in the gold medal match Saturday, after the hosts beat Honduras 6-0.
Nigeria had hoped to emulate the achievements of the original Dream Team—the squad that won gold at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics—but will now have to settle for bronze at best, if they can defeat Honduras in the third-place match Saturday.
Prior to Wednesday’s game, Nigeria’s captain and Chelsea midfielder Mikel John Obi told Newsweek that the team was planning to “write our own chapter” in Nigeria’s footballing folklore.
Jonathan, who was president of the West African country between 2010 and 2015, said that he hoped Nigeria could still finish the tournament with a medal. “The Dream Team gave it their best. A commendable performance. All is not lost. I look forward to a resurgence against Honduras on Saturday,” tweeted Jonathan Wednesday.
