A bad evenning for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

After beating Macedonia 2-0 in an early friendly match last Sunday, the Indomitable Lions Of Cameroon had A difficult moment this evening as Paraguay made their first strike just after four minutes of regular play time.
The first half of the match ended 1-0 while the second half witnessed a different phase as the match could have ended 2-2 if Idrissou had converted a last minute penalty to a goal. Why Idrissou?
The match ended in Austria 2-1 in favour of Paraguay and the next friendly encounter against Germany is due for 1 June 2014.

THE UNCENSORED EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM OF CAMEROON THAT HAS FAILED.

Our government is doing everything possible to see that in a group of fifty Cameroonians, there is a primary school while in a group of five hundred people, there is a secondary school.May God help us to accomplish this mission by 2035!
There are secondary schools in Cameroon with more than 10 vice principals and about 15 discipline masters while other villages/schools are crying for teachers because the schools are empty.Where I attended part of my secondary school, some of our teachers used to go to Bamenda for their salaries and spend at least two weeks out of school. We were left to struggle on our own and at the end we still made it.Can you imagine that in the 21 Century, one teacher teaches History,Geography,Commerce and Religious Studies?Do you also know that a teacher of Literature in English can teach Physics?Mr.Enongene Divine Makia taught us the four subjects above.Mr.Akonghui Louis,a Literature and French Language teacher also taught us Physics when Mr.Muh Ignatius went to Bamenda. If I tell you what my school life has been like, you must start believing in miracles. All these details are not to make you sick but to make understand why our leaders prefer to describe our national unity as 'unity in diversity.'In GHS Tabenken where I had my GCE Ordinary Level,I always knew that our school performance had nothing to do with national exams and this was later proven when I went to GHS Batibo after obtaining my 'O' Level Certificate from GHS Tabenken.
Why should there be 10 vice principals in a school while others don't even have teachers in key subjects such as Mathematics,English and French Languages? What does regional balance stand for?In cases where there are no teachers, the PTA is forced to recruit unqualified poorly paid young men and women as teachers. The impact of this is usually catastrophic as at times, students turn to be mates with these young teachers,Such teachers are underlooked by the students and the worst comes when at the times the teacher prefers to talk to students in the dialect. My Philosophy teacher of GHS Batibo is a reflection of a made teacher.
I am not afraid to say that the educational policy of my country doesn't favour those of us in the surbubs.Every CPDM polician wants to have a primary school in his neighbourhood, Every CPDM bureau member wants to have a Secondary School in his village even without benches, chalk boards and no academic structures talkless of any assurance of having government-sent teachers. At the end who benefits?the politicians wins elections, gets promotion but the innocent children are punished with these political schools as their complains may only be attended to after 5 years or 7 years depending on the type of elections. The irony is that when these people are in Yaounde, they are proud to say "c'est mouvais chez moi."It is common to see one teacher in Cameroon having two appointments and funny enough,CRTV would read the same name from two separate papers at the same time into two distinguished functions.Lord Have Mercy. No teacher wants to work in a village even those who were bore and fed in typical villages. Those who are ready to work anywhere in the country are stopped by the 'god father' and 'connection' syndromes.
Because of greener pastures, many teachers have abandoned their posts. The impact is catastrophic;principals now prefer to protect them and receive 50% of their salaries, Primary school teachers who feel too big to work in interior areas send their relatives and friends resident in these villages to teacher on their behalf even if they were buyam sellam.Dear people of good faith, what therefore becomes of these innocent kids?is this what you went through in your days before becoming who you are today?do we love our children?do we love our country? You may be doing this because you want to remain close to your husband, wife, parents, but why did you chose to serve two masters?
A rat can only organise an indoor party in the absence-many people are doing this and going uncaught because the government is very far from the common man.You are reminded that it is a patriotic act to bring up our future leaders in the right way and defend national colours.PLEASE LET'S CHANGE FOR OUR COUNTRY IF OUR COUNTRY IS NOT CHANGING US.
May God bless our leaders and protect our country,Cameroon.I love my country. My name is Njobe Serge Ngala alias Catch Me If You Can.

Teachers and Students are all gambling for success.

Teachers who became businessmen along their the line are now saying "my God is a God of miracles."
All female teachers who opened hair dressing saloons and gossiping camps in their various offices are all scared.
Teachers who made the wrong decision of giving all their students passed marks in their subjects so as to please their Principals are trembling.
Students who believed in last minute preparation have been disappointed by Sonel and are now crying.
Pastors and priest who prayed for students, blessed their pens, pencils and hands are now waiting for "their" God to accept their requests so that the Ministry will keep on attracting customers.Students who did not prepare well are now believing in good luck, going to success prophets and success prayer lines. Many students who were pagans now read the First,Second and Gospel in their churches so that God will change their stories.Parents who could not buy text books for their children because of artificial poverty are not starving, they are fasting and praying for their children.I believe in hardwork and I hold to it.
Hardwork pays and God confirms.

Agbor Blessing Manda is her name.

My relationship with girls/women is not usually very mutual because I always think that valuable things hardly come out of such relationships. For the first time in my life,I had a real female friend called Agbor Blessing. She was my classmate and friend in GHS Batibo. She was so good to me.Today we've lost contacts and I dream of her nearly every day. Please don't get it twisted;she is just a friend and nothing else.
I MISS YOU BLESSING.

NJOBE SERGE NGALA

Njobe Serge was born in Bondu-Tabenken on October 21,1992.I saw one paper which shows that I was born on Thursday at some few minutes to 11am.I started primary school at the age of five(in 1997)in Catholic School Bondu.Back then I enjoyed the services of teachers such as Mr.Adamu Clement Shey,Kongor Aloysius,Mme Konfor Pepertua Manli,Mme Tumi Nadine,Mr.Bwanong and Mr.Samba.I left C.S.Bondu for GSS/GHS Tabenken in 2005 after scoring remarkable marks in all my subjects;my name appeared first on the result list of interviews into Form One.Before leaving primary school,I knew something special about myself;I was very good at Essay writing. I personally know that this was thanks to my uncle,Njobe Anthony who is now of late.May his soul rest in peace. But I still remember that I occupied the 1st position from Class 3, third term to Class 7.My grandmother,ANGELINA LASI played a major role.
SECONDARY SCHOOL.
My secondary school life in GSS Tabenken which later became GHS Tabenken was marked by confidence and determination.Things were not that easy this time because I seem to have been naturally blank in science subjects notably Chemistry and Mathematics.Nevertheless,I was doing very well.I was class prefect of Form Three B and Tamnjong Joel Tamnjong was that of Form Three A.Class prefects were neither elected nor appointed,it was a matter of best student in academics leading those who were better, good, bad, worse and worst.I did not perform well in late Form Four and the entire Form Five reasons being that I was "matured".I sold my heart to a certain maiden called Konfor Annette and from here I could not differentiate between love emotions and my reading spirit(I hope my parents will not crucify me after reading this love affair stuff). Though I didn't do very well in Forms Four and Five,my teachers saw great exceptions in me;Mr.Akonghui Louis Neba said that I had a very good handwriting,Mr.Enongene Divine Makia knew I was good at History and Geography and Mr.Primus aka "you guys" always knew that I was a good student when it comes to Economics.Mathematics was not my portion at all.At a time when many of my classmates were running away from French Language classes,I developed more interest in the subject. My efforts in French Language yielded healthy fruits as I happened to feature among the very few(less than ten)students who succeded in GCE O/L French Language in 2010 from GHS Tabenken.I left GHS Tabenken in 2010 after passing in only five subjects though I later added English Language to the previous five subjects thereby making it six subjects.I did not like my results but I had no one to blame than "love". I started High School in GBHS Nkambe and ended in GHS Batibo after the Christmas break. The reasons for this sudden change are enormous;I was complaining alot because I was renting,I was destined to make new friends in Batibo and today I hear that the whole issue was to divert my attention from my "mandap".
LIFE IN GOVERNMENT HIGH SCHOOL BATIBO.
Batibo was welcoming and amazing but also full of strange things.I made new faces and new challenges in Batibo.Thank God I regained my spirit of understanding without reading in GHS Batibo.I think I was a good student in GHS Batibo reasons why I became class prefect in Upper Sixth Arts(UA1,UA3 and UA5).In Batibo I was as quiet as never before because everybody was strange to me and because I was afraid of this whole issue of witchcraft in Moghamo. At the end of two years,I left GHS Batibo with good results;I passed with good grades in all the three subjects I went in for(History,Literature and Philosophy).I led the school Journalism Club on Bilingualism Day on December 11,2011.I equally had my first experience of going on air over the radio airwaves of the Batibo Community Radio popularly known as Voice of Moghamo where I was Cordinating an sensitization program known as Campus Life.I was accompanied in this voluntary task by guys such as Ayuk Elias,Kiyoh Emmanuel and Maah Theodore.I also made eternal friendship with people like Kiyoh Emmanuel,Ayuk Elias,Maah Theodore,Mechane Genarine,Agbor Blessing,Ngong Martha Bongfen and many others.I will always remember people who made Batibo a paradise for me.They include Atum Brent,Atum Ivinet,Ndi Aishatou,Chick Anita,Anyah Chaveline,Galabe Collins, infact the entire St.John Of God Hospital staff and ESPECIALLY THE BIG NJOBE'S FAMILY.
Just like the Bible,I can't say all about me because my eyes are never facing me.May God give me the opportunity to add more successful events to my life profile.
To be used by many when I quit this world.Specially designed for the next generation.May God Bless Us.

The Bilingual University of Dschang.

Bilingualism in Cameroon means;understanding what i'm saying and vice versa. The University Of Dschang excluding the Faculty of Law And Political Science has its own notion of Bilingualism. You speak English Language and the same lecturer who does not understand your language is the same person to correct your script.
Their poor mastery of "our own language" either helps us or kills us as at times they give marks according to hand writing, orderly presentation etc.It is amazing to be part of this bilingual game-there are students who obtain their Licence at the end of three years without knowing some of their teachers because of language barrier.
I can't conclude without asking for my(our)results of the first semester exams that have turn results of Presidential Elections in African "democratic" kingdoms like Cameroon.

Please let's pray for peace in Nigeria.

As we are celebrating National Day in Cameroon, our neighbours are in absolute panic. Two big explosions rocked the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) area inside the Terminus Market near Murtala Mohammed way, in Jos city.Over 200 people were killed, up from the official 72 dead released earlier by government sources, as the two apparent car bombings had exploded 32 minutes apart. What bothers me is not the 'why' and 'what' questions as to why Boko Haram has chosen to kill innocent people.I don't want to believe that Boko Haram will keep on destroying lifes in Nigeria and Cameroon. Please let's pray for peace.

Cameroon and neighbouring threats.

Cameroon is a very peaceful country;a country whose foreign policy is very friendly and tolerance being at the fore front. The crises in CAR and Nigeria are pushing Cameroon to the wall.We accept refugees from CAR and Nigeria and in return, priests are kidnapped to Nigeria from Cameroon,18 Cameroonians were recently kidnapped into CAR,A total of 7 Cameroonians have now died in Northern Cameroon within 48 hours because of Boko Haram.
Please,we don't want war,we love peace and we want to see it reign in the whole of Africa.

World Press Freedom Day.

As we celebrate the World Press Freedom Day today 3 May,I ask you this question;do you know that many African journalists have been imprisoned and others killed for speaking the bitter truth?
In Africa, you can speak the truth but you are advised not to talk about the life of an African Lord/Dictator.

Political Climate Change!

"We" don't want plastic papers because they are...
What about the timber that is exported everyday?
